Submitting an assignment
NOTE : If your class is using the LMS for assignment submission this step is NOT required. Guide for using the LMS for Turnitin assignments
Getting your assignment ready for submission
- FILE FORMAT: Your assignment can be saved in any of the following formats: MS Word, WordPerfect, PostScript, PDF, HTML, RTF, and plain text formats. The File must not be password protected.
- FILE SIZE: The size of the file cannot be greater than 10Mb or 1 million characters. If your file is bigger than this because of large graphics you can convert the document to a ‘text only’ file before you submit it into Turnitin. When converting your file to a text only version be sure to save it as a new document. Keep your original formatted version or you will lose your formatting and graphics. To convert a file to a ‘text only’ file you simply save the document as text only and it will have the ending ‘.txt’, e.g. Turnitin_History 101_Essay 1.txt. Please speak to your lecturer if this does not work and you need to submit a paper larger than the size limits stated above.
